Mark Peterson appointed chairman of Security Industry Association (SIA) Security Applications Standards Subcommittee.
The Security Application Standards Subcommittee will develop standards for specific applications of security technology to solve specific problems and produce standards that define those solutions. These efforts would combine the OSIPS component interfaces along with specific binding standards to serve specific application needs. The Subcommittee may build upon the existing component interfaces for a specific application requirement. In the area of performance related standardization this group may also address standardization activities for application requirements. Current activities incluse: Access Control for Gate Operations, and Common User Interface Standard for First Responders and Large System Users.
